Who is Signs For Seniors?
Signs For Seniors was founded in 2025 by high school student Andrew "Drew" Bassingthwaite. Drew and his brothers, Colton and Weston, saw a need in the community and created Signs For Seniors:
"I noticed that so many people in our community were being celebrated all the time. There are two, three, even four signs in the front yards of our area neighbors celebrating birthdays, graduations, participation in youth sports, even honoring volunteers who contribute to our community," Drew said. "But - I never saw these signs outside the senior housing spaces in our communities, which I thought was unjust. The residents there have lived through and experienced and contributed so much to us all. And - each birthday is big deal! We need to honor and celebrate our senior citizens everyday, but especially on their birthday."

And from there, Signs For Seniors was born. Signs For Seniors is a registered Texas non-profit corporation, and is currently pursuing its IRS 501c(3) non-profit status. Our hope is to work with senior housing communities to provide custom, individual yard signs for residents on their birthdays, all while creating opportunities for students to participate in and engage with the seniors living there. Our team of students will work to design, produce, deliver and install yard signs to our senior housing partners, and hopefully deliver joy to these residents while doing it.

Because, after all, its not "just another birthday." Every birthday is one to be celebrated!
